The job

A machine check confirms the quoted words on a card’s source are present at that source. A person has not yet reviewed these. That is the job: open a card in the Substrate Record, open its cited source, and confirm two things a machine cannot judge on its own —

  1. The quoted words are really there, in context, not just present somewhere on the page.
  2. What they say actually supports the card’s answer — the fact, or the rule or formula the answer rests on, not merely a page on the same general topic.

Then record your verdict: tick it, or flag it with a reason. If you flag it and you have a better citable source, name it — a challenge is only worth something with a Citable Source attached, per the estate’s own rule: corrections are appended, never delete what came before.

What counts as finished

One signed review record per card: reviewer, UTC timestamp, verdict (confirmed / flagged), and a reason. A flagged card with no reason is not a finished review. A confirmed card with the quoted words re-checked against the source, in context, is.

Marks

Proposed Marks per accepted review are not yet set. The Founder decides the rate, the same way as every other Marks-earning card on this site. Marks are cooperative participation units backed 1:1 by money already spent; they are not securities and do not convert to cash. You earn Marks under contract, for a finished review, to spec — not by the hour, and not simply for opening a card.

How to start

There is no automated review-submission form or tick store yet — reviews are taken under a contract, the same route as Research Marks: Post Your Proof on the Proof page, naming the qid, your verdict, and your reason. Every submission, accepted or not, is kept.

Questions are real MMLU-Pro items (qid = the dataset id) served from the Substrate Record. The status words there are exact: “Source quote machine-checked” means the machine check passed, not that a person has confirmed it. That confirmation is this job.
